OUTSTANDING: CANADIAN BASEBALL HALL OF FAME 2021 INDUCTEES
Golden inside and out, we brewed Outstanding Pub Ale in honour of the 2021 class of Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame inductees. The 2021 inductee class is a diverse group of 16 individuals and one team – each overlooked over the years despite their profound impact on and significant contributions to the history of baseball in Canada. The 17 inductees represent many ‘firsts’ and ‘onlys’ in Canadian baseball history, but were either undervalued or outright held back in their time – due to race, gender, or other stigma – or overshadowed by their peers in previous induction years. For 30 years – more than one generation – Anishnawbe Health Toronto has been the only provider of western medical services combined with […]

Left Field Brewery Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that the sacred land on which we operate, and those on which many of our ingredients are grown, is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg (Ah-nish-in-nah-beg), the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee (Ho-den-oh-sho-nee) and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We acknowledge that alcohol has historically been used as a colonial tool to control, manipulate and marginalize Indigenous communities, repercussions of which continue to harm Indigenous people to this day. We recognize the many Nations of Indigenous People, who presently live on […]

On Canada Day
In acknowledgment of the atrocities and injustices that our country has, and continues to inflict on the Indigenous People of this land, we will be observing Canada Day differently – July 1st will be a day to reflect, educate, and act so that we may be the most effective allies possible. We mourn and honour the innocent children found, and to be found, in the mass graves of Residential Schools across this land, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Twospirit, Trans People, and Girls across the nation and all the survivors who remain. We recognize and support the UN Declaration on […]
