We’re hiring a Brewery Production Assistant – Part Time Seasonal

Position:                Production Assistant – Part Time Seasonal
Type:                      Part Time, Hourly, 10-30 hours per week. Seasonal Contract April/May – September

This individual will provide support to the production team with packaging materials preparation, working on the packaging line, and with general operations and warehousing duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES
– Packaging material preparation – assembling and stickering boxes
– Keg cleaning and filling
– Working at outfeed of canning line, placing beer cans in cases and palletizing cases
– Monitoring fills, weights and quality standards of product coming off the line in accordance with quality specifications
– Loading and unloading loads for transportation between warehouses
– Receiving and putting away raw materials and packaging materials
– Brewery cleaning and organizing
– Other general brewery duties, as assigned 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
– G class drivers license and clean driving record is an asset
– Brewing diploma or education-in-progress is an asset
– Forklift certification is an asset
– Exceptional attention to detail
– Experience working in a fast-paced environment
– A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
– Availability to work flexible hours. Shifts may range from early mornings to evenings and the occasional weekend
– Must be able to move cases of beer weighing 10Kg from ground level or pallets to table height to hand carts to a delivery van
– Must be able to move kegs weighing up to 140lbs between ground level to skids and hand carts
– Smart Serve & Retail Alcohol Sales certification (an asset, will train otherwise)
